Dr. Pols Sohn Charles hat sich eine kleine Auszeit genehmigt und ist weggefahren. In der Tierklinik haben die Veterinäre deshalb alle Hände voll zu tun: Rentiere warten auf ihre Pediküre, ein Pferd, das lahmt hat zusätzlich eine lebensgefährliche Schlundverstopfung, eine Hundedame muss sterilisiert und ein Wurf Welpen will versorgt werden. Gut, dass Dr. Pols Enkelkinder tatkräftig mithelfen.
