Der Frühling beginnt, und die Tiere geraten schier außer Kontrolle. Der erste Patient ist ein von Hormonen überfordertes Mini-Pferd. Die Lösung: sein Testosteron zu reduzieren, was sich als außerordentliche Aufgabe erweist. Es folgt eine gestresste Kuh, die nicht kalben kann. Dr. Pol und Charles diagnostizieren Milchfieber. Bleibt es unbehandelt, könnte ein Koma die Folge sein und Mutter und Kalb töten.
