VW Golf - Der Megaseller
Das erfolgreichste Auto Europas ist die Perfektion des Durchschnitts: der VW Golf. Er ist das Gegenteil vom rundlichen Käfer und rettet Volkswagen vor dem Ruin. Statt Heckmotor gibt es nun Frontantrieb, statt Luft- eine Wasserkühlung, dazu eine große Heckklappe. Die radikale Abkehr von alten VW-Prinzipien ist für den Hersteller ein großes Risiko, das sich jedoch unmittelbar auszahlt.
